With the goal of giving back to the community, and providing an introduction to the CPG Industry to college students across the state, the GMR of Florida is proud of continuing contributions to our scholarship program.
Through strong partnerships between members and retailers, we currently provide 8 scholarships annually, at 4 different Florida Universities; University of South Florida, University of North Florida, University of Central Florida and Florida Gulf Coast University. We are going to increase that number to 12 scholarships annually, adding 2 Universities in 2024; University of Florida, and Florida State University.
We currently have 3 endowments; University of South Florida ($25K), University of North Florida ($25K), and Florida Gulf Coast University ($15K). The schools appreciate these funds as they grow and provide even more opportunities.
We value strong support from members since the inception of our scholarship program in 2009, together, we’ve been able to help over 100 college students.
